Mervin Harper

Mervin Harper is the second in command at the Kita Kaze club. He has extensive experience teaching beginners as well as acting as coach for our competitors attending tournaments outside of the Yukon. Merv has competition experience at the provincial and national level.

• Began practicing Shotokan Karate in 1992
• Attained the rank of Shodan in 1997, Nidan 2000, Sandan 2005
• Bronze Medal in masters’ kumite National Canadian Karate Championships 2003
• Shodan in Suzuki ha Kobujitsu 2000
• Nidan in Musuo Jikiden Eishin Ryu 2007
• National coaching certification 1996
• CCP/CPR certified
